The Foundation for Dane County Parks is a passionate team of people dedicated to raising funds to support all of the Dane County Parks by promoting volunteerism, education, interpretation, and community involvement.
The Foundation helps keep Dane County Parks healthy through three branches of funding and involvement.
The Foundation has a variety of ongoing projects, like the Accessible Piers, aimed at keeping the Parks healthy and accessible to all.
The Foundation has built various community partnerships that allow for expanded programming, such as the 'Healthy Parks, Healthy You' initiative.
The Endowment, a program of the Foundation, provides permanent, non-supplanting funds for interpretation, education and volunteerism in the Parks.
The "Healthy Parks, Healthy You" partnership between the Foundation, Dean/SSM Health, and Dane County Parks aims to promote the connection between parks and physical and mental health.
In a three-year partnership with SSM Health and Dean Health Plan, the Foundation is working to promote the connection between exploring our local Dane County Parks system and staying healthy. In 2021-2023, programming will focus on:
