Memorial Gifts

Remembrance Trees - $5,000

This living gift will strengthen and grow year after year. Please note that tree donations do not include a plaque. The tree must be 1.5” diameter or larger and purchased through a local nursery or landscape company. The tree species must be approved by the Parks Forester and the nursery or landscape company must install the tree in the designated location.

Reflective Bench - $10,000

This gift will provide a space for rest and contemplation in a serene setting. The bench is made of recycled plastic lumber with an installed flagstone foot rest.

The Reflective Bench includes an optional 2” x 6” plaque. Write your requested plaque engraving (maximum five lines). Copy is contingent upon Dane County Parks approval.

Dane County Parks will choose the park and location that will provide the greatest benefit to all park users and best honor the individual you are recognizing. While the final location is contingent on park needs, we will consider your preferences in the decision making. Please list up to five Dane County Parks where you would prefer a tree/bench. We will follow up if none of your preferences are available.

Electronic acknowledgementBy checking this box, I acknowledge that the monetary donation is to support the Foundation for Dane County Parks and the Dane County Parks. With this donation Dane County Parks will provide and install a park amenity (e.g., tree, bench) with a recognition plaque, if applicable. Dane County Parks will own and manage the amenity. Dane County Parks may modify and/or move the amenity at any time. Dane County Parks agrees to maintain all memorial and tribute gifts for a minimum of twenty years. The park and location for the amenity is determined by Dane County Parks based on park needs.
